HIGH TEMPERATURE TUNNEL KILNS
Porcelain firing tunnel kiln This tunnel kiln, completely automatic, belongs to
last generation. As you can see from pictures it has a total width of 3200 mm
with useful charge on the car of 3000. In continuous working, temperature can reach 1350�C;
actual working temperature is around 1250�C. Our customer, owner of this
plant, uses it for firing dinnerware. The kiln is equipped with: new high
velocity burners with very good performance, n.3 oxygen controllers which
maintain automatically an always constant value following the imposed
set-point, n.5 pressure controllers, n.13 modulating zones self-regulated by
self-regulators interfaced with supervisor integrated PC-PLC. A super PC with
sophisticated programs and a modem for tele-assistance is installed. This
control system permits ITALFORNI to connect in case it is required for simple
control or, if necessary, for intervening from assistance offices in
Formigine (ITALFORNI head office) on the kiln and on all machinery installed
at kiln service: by changing machine programs, by intervening on anomalies or
simply to impose curves or change type of running in conformity of the
products to be fired. This function is very important, above all, for
those customer that are seated far from Italy. All burners have serial communication and cars have
numerical control in order to manage and check continuously the production.
Kiln has been tested: with a cycle of 10 hours and max temperature of 1250�C,
difference between the centre and side walls hasn’t been surveyed.
Practically at 1250�C temperature is the same all over the section and the
product takes benefit from this. This kiln, in firing zone, has an arch vault made of
insulating bricks type JM28 which, thanks to the arch structure, guarantee a
temperature uniformity. Differently from our concurrence we have
chosen to use in firing zone of our tunnel kiln vault arch type (both for
sanitary ware, klinker and porcelain): not only it helps to reach an uniform
temperature, but structure demonstrates to be indestructible and we guarantee
it for years. Besides it is completely insulated in the external part and
this keep low the consumption. |
