Italforni is the only company producing sliding batts kilns.
This type of kilns can be realized both with free flame and muffled and it is suitable, for little and medium productions, for firing big size tableware, pots, accessories and coloring oxides.
This kiln operates with max temperatures of 1200°C; cycles can change in relation with product type, from 6 to 24 hours.
Italforni sliding batts kilns main feature is their managing simplicity, moreover, they allow a fast economic recovery of investment.
On 2004, in Italy, a very special kiln has been realized: it produces lining tiles with “craquelé” effect, using a muffled type firing system.
The process occurs  without direct contact between burners combustion products and tiles passing into kiln; also the cooling, in its main phases, is of indirect type, in fact there is no contact between the important volume flows of this zone and tiles.
