Our history
Italforni is an Italian company with over 70 years of experience in the production of kilns and plants for the thermal treatment of ceramic products.
The company was founded by eng. Leone Padoa, one of the fathers of Italian ceramics and a pioneer in the construction of ceramic kiln. In the early 50’s, he founded the homonymous company “Studio Tecnio Dott.Ing. Leone Padoa”, and later, in 1977 he established ITALFORNI SRL.
In 1999, Pietro Mazzacani became the sole shareholder and assumed the role of President. His huge experience in managing the start-up of ceramic factories, along with his leadership at CTI – Ceramic Technology International – allows Mazzacani to transform Italforni into a globally acknowledged company.
In 2021, a new chapter began with the entry of Mazzacani’s sons – Filippo, a mechanical engineer, and Gabriele – along with his nephew Riccardo Carlotti, doctor in Chemical sciences. Their involvement represents a sign of ongoing generational continuity and a renewed commitment to innovation and new value creation.
In 2024, EPICMEC was established, a new company focused on design and development of special automation systems for the ceramic and related industries.
In the ceramic industry landscape, our company today represents a perfect balance between past and future, where the tradition meets innovation. Two divisions, ITALFORNI and EPICMEC, tell a story of experience and progress, rooted in quality and oriented toward the future.
