Tailor-made

Continuous cycle furnaces where the product to be thermal treated cross the hearth by means of carts that advance on rails.

Before the introduction of roller kilns, tunnel kilns were the most widespread technology in the ceramics industry. Italforni’s founder, engineer Leone Padoa, built the first tunnel kiln at the Saime ceramics factory in Sassuolo in 1935. Since then, Italforni has continued to evolve, adopting the best technologies to develop increasingly advanced and efficient systems.

Heat recovery occurs from kiln cooling and allows for the recovery of large volumes of high-temperature air (even above 300°C).

Insulation is made with the most advanced, high-quality insulating materials.

Italforni’s “Electronic Combustion” system provides digital regulation of the air-gas ratio, significantly reducing gas consumption thanks to the rational management of combustion air volumes. By setting a stoichiometric air-gas ratio, only the necessary air volumes are used, optimizing the burner flame temperature. Electronic combustion, in addition to reducing gas consumption by up to 20%, reduces NOx emissions by up to 35%.

AR valves allow pneumatic air control. This simple and economical solution allows for energy savings of up to 15%.
